ABA Committee

The ABA Committee

The ABA Committee is responsible for managing and guiding the affairs of the Association in line with its objectives. It exercises the powers and functions necessary for the proper operation of the Association, except those matters specifically reserved for the members at a general meeting.

The Committee is composed of the office bearers—President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Membership Officer—together with at least three ordinary members, all elected by members at the Annual General Meeting. One member serves as the Public Officer and must reside in New South Wales. Members may hold multiple offices and can be re-elected without limit.

In the event of a casual vacancy, the Committee may appoint a member to fill the role temporarily or until the next Annual General Meeting. Through its leadership, the Committee ensures the Association operates effectively, ethically, and in alignment with the spirit of its objectives.
