The Australian Breathwork Association is the professional body for those specialising in Conscious Connected Breathing [CCB].

About the Australian Breathwork Association

The Australian Breathwork Association is a non-profit professional association dedicated to supporting, strengthening, and advancing the practice of professional Breathwork across Australia.

The Association is committed to the ongoing development and maintenance of high-quality Breathwork practices, while actively building and evolving the credibility and professional reputation of Breathwork within the wider community. Through collaboration, shared standards, and mutual support, Breathwork is upheld as a respected and valuable modality.

At the heart of the Association is a vibrant and connected professional community. Unity, synergy, and a sense of enjoyment are fostered among practitioners, creating a strong and supportive peer network where members can learn, share, and grow together.

The Association promotes public awareness and understanding of Breathwork, encouraging informed engagement within the broader community. Research, learning, and the sharing of knowledge are supported to contribute to the ongoing evolution of the field. A strong Code of Ethics guides all members, ensuring professionalism, integrity, and respect in practice.

By coming together as a collective, strength is created through unity, enabling members to access shared resources, opportunities, and benefits that may not be achievable individually.

ABA Mission

We support the development and maintenance of professional standards in Breathwork, in the form of Conscious Connected Breathing. In doing so, it is our intention to serve individuals in their quest for peace of mind, happiness and connection with Spirit.

Acknowledgment

The Australian Breathwork Association recognises our First Nation members. We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and pay respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. We further acknowledge their continuing connection to land, water, sky and community.

The ABA recognises and gratefully acknowledges the breathwork elders present, and those who have gone before us.

Inclusivity Statement

The ABA practices principles of equality, diversity and inclusion. We celebrate and nurture the rich diversity within our community including people who live with or are impacted by disability; people from across religious, political, ethnic, sexual and gender backgrounds, including our LGBTIQA+ members; BIPOC including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members; and displaced peoples. As a community, we seek to strengthen our collective consciousness, action and resilience against the adverse effects of stigma, discrimination and marginalisation. We honour humanity in all its expression.
